Lorena serves in the North American Division as the Administrative Professional for both the Adventist Chaplaincy and Multilingual Ministries. Before joining the NAD, she served as the Administrative Assistant and Missions Coordinator of the Chaplains Office at Washington Adventist University for almost 20 years. Prior to that she served as the Employment and Training Coordinator for Rural Opportunities Inc. in Aspers Pennsylvania for 9 years, providing services and training for migrant workers. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Instituto Nacional Centro Americano. Lorena is a graduate of Washington Adventist University where she earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in counseling psychology. She was born in Guatemala City, Central America. She is married to Edwin and have one daughter and one son. Her favorite Bible text is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
